Most towns and rural villages have a number of families who have lived there for generations or achieved who have fame or fortune (or notoriety) by various means. Chelveston is no exception.

The Baxter family have been in the village for 5+ generations (from 1792 - present).
The Eady family have been in the village for 5+ generations (from 1756 - present).
The Morris family have been in the village for 5 generations (1844 - present).
The Simpson family were only in village for 2 generations (1906 - 1947), but prominent in their time.
